NİLGÜN GÜNSÜR

She was born in 1962 in Istanbul. After her education in fashion design, she continued with her watercolor and pastel painting studies, and since 1999 she took ceramic and porcelain painting trainings for four years. In addition to her ceramic works, she continued her Meissen style porcelain over glaze painting works. Her detailed and unique style has directed her works towards object design with porcelain clay and the use of porcelain with different materials together.

She founded the Porcelain Art Atelier in 2006. She started pioneering studies in her country on the production of real-looking porcelain flowers and still trains many students within the scope of continuing education studies. She uses techniques for her detail-oriented style in her works and pays attention to the fact that her compositions are unique and few in number.

Porcelain Art Atelier was founded by Nilgün Günsür with the aim of making original and different works by  porcelain, which has an important place in the universal art heritage, with the components of ceramics and painting. The workshop has been a unique art space since 2006.

In addition to the production of porcelain flowers and objects, Meissen style overglaze painting works are also carried out in the workshop.

Objects such as porcelain flowers etc. are shaped and colored by hand with soft Limoges etc. biscuit clay. Curious art lovers are also offered courses on porcelain flower making and decoration.
